Learn to capture summers bounty into a beautiful berry jam. Heidi will demonstrate the process for making a jam that is balanced in flavor and properly set with whatever berries are fresh from the market at the time of class. Tips for specific berries, sourcing, and storage options (whether canning or keeping in the fridge) will also be discussed. Students will head home with a sample of the evening’s jam and a good basic recipe for making jam at home to preserve summer flavors well into the winter.
